Weekend top picks: New Year’s Eve Party, Christmas festivities continue to end of year

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Though Christmas has passed, the fun continues around town as the new year approaches, including the now-annual New Year’s Eve celebration on Tuesday. Or take a stroll through the dazzling lights downtown, and experience the magic of the drive-thru Christmas light show before it wraps up for the season.

New Year’s Eve Party: Live band, dance floor, photo-booth trailer, food trucks, a balloon drop, and a surprise at midnight. It’s all happening on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. at the Montgomery County Downtown Commons, 215 Legion St.,

Christmas on the Cumberland: Although Christmas is over, the downtown lights are up until Jan. 3. Stroll through over 1 million lights at McGregor Park located at 640 North Riverside Drive.

Drive Thru Christmas Light Show: Enjoy over 1 mile, and over 3 million lights, from the comfort of your car this weekend! It all takes place at the Clarksville Speedway and Fairgrounds, 1600 Needmore Road. Come by anytime through Dec. 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. $30 per carload. $50 for eight or more people.
