Weekend top picks: A Streetcar Named Desire, Cookie Crawl, Tipsy Vendor, comedy show

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – If you don’t already have Valentine’s Day plans, catch a play at the Roxy on Friday! Then on Saturday, you can indulge in a cookie crawl, explore a local market with crafts and vendors, and wrap up the evening with a comedy show.

A Streetcar Named Desire: Fading Southern belle Blanche DuBois moves to New Orleans where her sister Stella and her brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski barely live above squalor in the French Quarter. Enjoy a showing at Roxy Regional Theatre, 100 Franklin Street on Feb. 14 and 15. Tickets are 35 (adults) and $15 (10 and under).

Cookie Crawl: The main event will feature local bakers sharing samples, selling their other tempting creations, and taking orders for custom desserts. They will be competing for awards, voted on by the attendees at Wilma Rudolph Event Center, 1190 Cumberland Drive on  Saturday, Feb. 15 at 12 p.m. Admission $10.

The Tipsy Vendor: The Valentine’s local market will include crafts and artisans at Doubletree by Hilton, 50 College Street on Saturday, Feb. 15 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Greg Hall at Joker’s Comedy House: This comedy show features Greg Hall at Jokers Comedy House, 2150 Fort Campbell Blvd. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $20, $30 for couples.
