CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Antique Tractor and Engine Show was held at Hilltop Supermarket on Saturday, bringing together enthusiasts to check out machinery, eat food and raise funds.

The event, hosted by the Montgomery County Antique Tractor and Engine Association, aimed to raise money for Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital through donations and food sales.

Michael Williams participated in the show. “I brought a 1952 Ford tractor out this morning. It’s a good little tractor. I wanted to bring it out so people could see it with everybody else’s tractors,” Williams said.

The club organizes several events throughout the year, including a tractor ride scheduled for May 31 in Dotsonville. “We’ll go on a 20-mile tractor ride; we have a barbecue, and we’ve got a live band. And all the money from that event goes to Camp Rainbow,” said Randy Johnson, president of the group.

The group’s fundraising efforts go beyond this weekend’s event. Throughout the year, they collect and restore donated tractors, which are then given to local school programs like 4-H and FFA. “They’ll (students) go through it, take it apart, do all the body work, repaint it and everything, and they’ll bring it to our fall show, and we’ll auction it off and all the proceeds from that tractor sale go straight back to the school.”
