CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A group gathered at Patriots Park on Saturday to show their support for Ukraine as it continues fighting against a Russian invasion. Attendees brought signs, flags, and messages of support.

Sophia Stasiv spoke about her personal connection to the event. “The reason I’m out here is, honestly, not only for Ukraine; because that’s where I was born; but also to promote this idea that aggression is not the answer. When we have leadership that dominates with violence and hatred, it ruins the world and ruins lives and creates a lot of sadness and hate.”

Karen Reynolds said, “I’m out here today because I’m a retired Army master sergeant, and I have spent my life defending freedom and democracy. I think the United States has an obligation to stand up and stand with Ukraine and not let Putin and the Russians take over that country.”
